Import rules to check
The Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) runs a PVoC programme: regulated shipments, including used products, need a Certificate of Conformity issued after document checks and physical verification, presented with the shipping documents. The import duty on worn clothing is 35 % (May 2026), and as an East African Community member Tanzania applies the EAC prohibition on previously used underwear. Confirm current requirements with TBS and your clearing agent.
This information is for orientation only. Import rules change; confirm current requirements with the competent authority and your clearing agent before ordering.
