CM
Cameroon
Cameroon imported about 73,000 tonnes of used clothing in 2025 — roughly 3,000 containers through the Port of Douala — and more than 150,000 people earn a living reselling it (figures quoted in June 2026). Tell us your categories, grade and container and we reply with a written offer.
KE
Kenya
Kenya's mitumba trade is the largest in East Africa: imports reached Sh27.8 billion in the year to March 2024, and Nairobi's Gikomba is its best-known market. Registered importers bring bales in through Mombasa. Tell us the categories, grade and volume you need and we reply with what we can actually supply.
SN
Senegal
Dakar is the main entry port for second-hand clothing in Senegal and a gateway for Mali. In December 2024 the Ministry of Industry and Commerce confirmed that importing second-hand clothing remains allowed. Tell us your categories, grade and container, and we reply with a written offer.
CI
Côte d'Ivoire
Abidjan's friperie markets — in Adjamé, Yopougon, Koumassi and other communes — are supplied with bales opened and sold on every day. Importers bring them in through the Port of Abidjan. Tell us your categories, grade and container, and we reply with a written offer.
CD
DR Congo
Kinshasa's friperie markets, such as UPN and Liberté, are supplied with bales from Europe that arrive through Matadi and travel on by the Matadi–Kinshasa road; a 50 kg bale of sweaters is commonly called a “médium” (ACP, July 2026). Tell us your categories, grade and container, and we reply with a written offer.
MZ
Mozambique
Mozambique imported 39,320 tonnes of used clothing in 2023, the second-largest volume in SADC after Tanzania, with Europe supplying about 18 % (reported November 2024). The trade is legal and taxed. Tell us your categories, grade and port — Maputo or Beira — and we reply with a written offer.
MW
Malawi
Malawi is one of Africa's largest buyers of second-hand clothing: about 56,000 tonnes imported in 2023, worth US$99 million (UN Comtrade). Tell us your categories, grade and container, and we reply with a written offer.
MG
Madagascar
Madagascar is one of Africa's larger buyers of second-hand clothing: about 54,000 tonnes imported in 2023, worth US$71 million (UN Comtrade). The government has ruled out a ban on second-hand clothing (L'Express de Madagascar, March 2025). Tell us your categories, grade and container, and we reply with a written offer.
UG
Uganda
Uganda is landlocked: containers of second-hand clothing travel through Mombasa or Dar es Salaam and continue by road. Wholesale buyers in Kampala can describe the categories, grades and volumes they need and the corridor they prefer.
TZ
Tanzania
Dar es Salaam is Tanzania's main entry point for second-hand clothing and a transit port for Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi and the DR Congo. Tell us your categories, grade and target volume, and whether the goods stay in Tanzania or continue inland.
GH
Ghana
Ghana is one of Africa's largest buyers of second-hand clothing: about 111,000 tonnes a year, 47 % of it from Europe (Oxford Economics, 2023 data). Bales are sold on to Accra's Kantamanto market and other markets across the country. Tell us your categories, grade and container, and we reply with a written offer.
ZM
Zambia
In Zambia second-hand clothing is called salaula. Zambia is landlocked, so containers reach buyers through a coastal gateway — usually Dar es Salaam or Beira — and an inland corridor. Tell us your categories, grade, bale weights and preferred route.
GM
The Gambia
Importers in The Gambia can request containers of sorted second-hand clothing delivered to the Port of Banjul. Tell us your categories, grade and volume, and we reply with a written offer.
BJ
Benin
Cotonou is one of West Africa's main entry ports for second-hand clothing, and Dantokpa market is one of the region's largest trading places. Tell us your categories, grade, bale weights and volume, and whether the goods stay in Benin or continue in transit.
TG
Togo
The Port of Lomé serves Togo and buyers across the region, including the landlocked Sahel countries. Tell us your categories, grade, bale weights and how often you buy, and we reply with a written offer.
